Just a couple of weeks ago, it didn’t seem like the Houston Rockets would even get a chance to sniff the playoffs.
Now, they might take the Golden State Warriors’ spot in the Play-In Tournament.
Despite not having franchise star Alperen Sengun, Ime Udoka’s team has been on a roll as of late.
As pointed out by NBA Central, the Rockets are 9-1 in their last ten games, with their only loss coming against the Los Angeles Clippers, and it was a close game.

The Rockets have beaten the likes of the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Cleveland Cavaliers, and they’re fresh off putting up 147 points on the Utah Jazz.
That’s why the fans have had plenty to say about this recent stretch and their postseason chances.
I don’t trust Golden State to make it

As things stand now, the Rockets are 1.5 games behind the No. 10-seeded Warriors with 11 games still left in the regular season.
Of course, context matters, and it’s worth noting that the Rockets have also beaten all bottom-feeder teams during the stretch, with the San Antonio Spurs twice, Washington Wizards twice, and Portland Trail Blazers once.
Still, with Amen Thompson looking as good as advertised, Jabari Smith Jr. finally taking a big leap as a rebounder, and Jalen Green playing the most efficient basketball of his career, they might have a chance to sneak into the playoffs.
Also, the Warriors are struggling to find consistency right now, so the Rockets need to make sure to keep their foot on the gas during this crucial stretch of the campaign.
