Robert Williams III was only able to play in six games with his new team, the Portland Trail Blazers.
But just because he has missed nearly all of this season and has a long history of injuries doesn’t mean that other teams throughout the league aren’t interested in signing him.
According to Jake Fischer, via NBACentral, the Houston Rockets are showing interest in the talented and injured big man.

In Fischer’s report, he said that there is more than one team eying Williams, but it’s not clear what other organizations are thinking about acquiring him.
Before he exited the season because of a knee injury and surgery, Williams was averaging 6.8 points and 6.3 rebounds.
The big man has suffered multiple physical ailments since joining the league back in 2018.
In fact, he has never once played an entire season during his six years in the NBA for a number of reasons.
However, when healthy, he is a very strong, talented, and smart center.
Ime Udoka, who ran the Boston Celtics for one season, is now the head coach of the Rockets, which is one of the reasons why Houston could land Williams.
They are also apparently intrigued by the prospect of getting Malcolm Brogdon.
Would the Rockets be able to get both of these stars or would they have to choose one over the other?
The NBA trade deadline is getting closer and closer and within a few weeks, multiple teams could look radically different.
Will the Rockets or another team acquire Williams by then or will he remain a Trail Blazer until the season is done?
Because of his injury, there is obviously not a huge rush to get this deal done but that doesn’t mean it might not happen soon.
