Through six weeks, the New York Jets are 3-3.
Two months ago, that would’ve been disappointing, but now that we don’t know they don’t have Aaron Rodgers under center, that’s actually impressive.
Also, one could make a case for them being 4-2 instead, but some questionable calls may have cost them that game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
We have to give credit where it’s due, and Zach Wilson — albeit non-spectacular — has played mistake-free football for the most part, doing just enough to put his team in a position to win.
However, the Jets’ defense has been the actual catalyst throughout this emotional campaign, which is why HC Robert Saleh had an interesting choice of words for his defense, stating that they’ve ’embarrassed’ all quarterbacks they’ve faced thus far (via Ari Meirov).
#Jets HC Robert Saleh on his defense:
"Through these first six weeks, we've played a gauntlet of quarterbacks; I know we haven't gotten all wins, but we've embarrassed all of them."

The Jets have gone against the likes of Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Russell Wilson thus far.
They beat the only undefeated team that was still standing, also getting their very first win over the Philadelphia Eagles in franchise history.
They shut down one of the most stacked offenses in the game despite not having star CB Sauce Gardner.
Aaron Rodgers is already walking without crutches and was throwing footballs on the field in warmups before the game vs. the Eagles, and he’s attempting to make a historically fast recovery from his Achilles injury.
Should that be the case, then his Jets team could end up having the kind of season they always hoped for, especially if the defense continues to dominate this way.
