Rob Gronkowski was a longtime staple in the NFL, known for his athletic prowess.
He is regarded as one of the best tight ends in NFL history and has recently retired from the league.
While he is retired from on-field activity, that hasn’t stopped him from making numerous media appearances.
He has become a regular guest on Up & Adams, a show run by Kay Adams, formerly of Good Morning Football.
In his most recent appearance on this show, Gronkowski highlighted one rule change that he’d like to implement in the NFL.
“That needs to be implemented as a rule change, that you cannot take out a defenseless receiver’s knees,” Gronkowski said.

This came on the heels of the NFL’s latest rule change, an edit to the way kickoffs are handled.
In the NFL’s latest big rule change, if a player has a fair catch behind the 25-yard line, the ball will be moved to the 25-yard line.
While this might be a factor in overall player safety, this hasn’t been received well, both by fans and players alike.
Gronkowski’s proposal would likely be popular among players.
As he indicates, pass-catchers are the only exception to this rule, allowing defenders to tackle them below the knees.
While this is not an official proposal by any means, it could come up in the future, especially if it gets more traction across the league.
The NFL is constantly adapting and changing to make the game safer.
Will Gronkowski’s proposal be the latest change?
