The New England Patriots might be looking to improve at the most important position.
They currently have Mac Jones as their QB1, but some people seem to think he is not the answer.
It would make sense that the Patriots look to try and upgrade at quarterback this offseason.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was reportedly shopping Jones to other teams this offseason.
Belichick has been in the league long enough to know players he can and cannot win with.
Maybe the legendary coach thinks Jones has already reached his potential.
One player that could interest Belichick is Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The former MVP is looking for a new team, and the Patriots seem like a great fit.
But, former Patriot Rob Gronkowski believes that those rumors are “fake news.”

One thing going for Jones is that he is making almost no money to play quarterback.
His base salary next year is just over $2 million.
In a salary-cap league, being able to find quality players for cheap is very important.
Also, as Gronk mentioned, there is a new offensive coordinator in New England.
Bill O’Brien is back with the Patriots and he should be able to help get the best out of Jones.
This may be Jones’ last chance to show he can be a franchise cornerstone.
