Three weeks ago, it seemed like the NFL MVP race was all but over.
Now, that might not be the case.
Josh Allen remains the odds-on favorite to win the award, but that might not be the case at the end of the season.
In fact, former NFL star Richard Sherman believes any player with Lamar Jackson’s numbers should win the award ‘easily.’
I will say what I have been saying. Lamar Jackson has the numbers this season and should win it easily. I didn’t understand the sentiment that the race was over like Buffalo was the #1 seed. If he ends up with 45+ TDS and under 5 ints without an MVP I’m not sure how that is…

Jackson currently has more total touchdowns and yards than Allen.
The Bills, however, have a better record than the Ravens.
While they’re no longer in contention for the No. 1 seed, they could finish the season with more wins than the Ravens.
Last season, Allen had way more touchdowns than Jackson, but the latter had the No. 1 record in all of football, so he eventually got the nod.
Some argued that his MVP season last year wasn’t impressive, but he’s most definitely improved this year.
Then again, with him having two MVPs already and this being such a tight race, perhaps some will look to give Allen the nod for the first time in his career.
This could and should go either way, and it couldn’t go wrong with either choice.
The same goes for Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley regarding Offensive Player of the Year.
This only speaks volumes about how competitive the league has been this season, and this is a good problem if you’re a voter.
