The New England Patriots had their best performance of the season against an unlikely rival.
Bill Belichick reaffirmed his positive history against the Buffalo Bills by handing them their second defeat in the last three weeks, all while getting his 300th career win.
The Patriots were the most physical team right out of the gate, and even though the Bills managed to make it a close game late in the fourth quarter, they were able to hold on and get the lead back to secure the win.
That’s why former NFL star Richard Sherman wanted to give Belichick his flowers for motivating his team and getting them ready to play (via Undisputed).
“Patriots won the game, good for them. They have a long season ahead of them, I don’t see them making the playoffs or being relevant in the end.”

He talked about the attitude and physicality of the offensive and defensive lines and how they “bullied” the Bills, especially in goal-line situations.
Nonetheless, as impressive as their effort and the win were, Sherman still wanted to give the Patriots a wake-up call.
Sherman wants them to realize they are not at the level of an actual contender.
Instead, he believes they could play spoiler to actual playoff contenders, as they still have a long and complicated season ahead of them.
The Patriots still have divisional games with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets ahead of them, a rematch with the Bills, as well as dates with the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers.
They could still make the playoffs, but they would need to be almost perfect after starting the season 2-5.
