The Philadelphia Eagles will have their starting quarterback back on the field after Jalen Hurts was cleared from the concussion protocol.
Of course, because he has just recovered from a concussion and has been out for a few weeks, most teams would be cautious with him.
Nevertheless, Rex Ryan believes that could be a mistake facing the Green Bay Packers in their NFC wild-card game.
“This is playoff time. … To me, the only way they’re gonna win is that quarterback run game because they’re not good enough to just sit back and beat you with Jalen Hurts from the pocket,” Ryan said, via NFL on ESPN.

That might sound controversial, especially considering teams are usually hesitant to throw their quarterback into the fire after suffering a concussion.
This has gone sideways multiple times, with Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins being a clear example.
Then again, Ryan does make sense strictly from a football perspective.
Hurts is an above-average quarterback, but he’s never been known for being an elite player in the pocket.
He’s much more efficient when he can roll out and extend plays with his legs.
The Eagles are favored to win this game, and having Hurts on the field will make them a much more dangerous team.
But that will only be the case if they play the brand of football that got them here in the first place.
Hopefully, that won’t lead to further injury, which will be a situation to keep a close eye on.
