Things have not gone as planned for the Miami Dolphins.
They are widely considered the most disappointing team in the NFL so far in 2021.
As the losses pile up, so does the frustration and tension within a team.
This appears to be the case with the Dolphins as well according to reports.
Negative Vibe
According to Jason La Canfora, things are not well at all in the Dolphins building.
“There is a really negative vibe down there right now,” said one source with direct knowledge of the situation. “A lot of players do not trust (Flores). Flo thinks he is a player’s coach, with an open-door policy, but I know a number of players who would tell you they don’t really think he is approachable enough, or flexible.”
La Canfora also talks about the negative New England culture that Flores is still trying to use in the locker room.
“There is still too much of that New England (stuff) going on. It just doesn’t work. There is a psychology to handling players and building a team, and you have to be able to connect and motivate. That’s not the vibe there. It’s pretty bad.”
He also mentions sources close to current quarterback Tua Tagovailoa feel that he is not being embraced by the coaching staff.
Moving Forward
Their performance in the second half of the season could determine a lot for the organization heading into 2022.
Dolphins are the only @NFL team ranked in the bottom-5 in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
AND the only team ranked in bottom-5 in total offense AND total defense.

They have been widely linked to Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in trade rumors.
But, the question still remains on whether or not he would be able to play or not by the NFL.

Publicly, the Dolphins have maintained their support of Tua, despite the Watson trade rumors.
“I don’t really get into rumors — Tua is our quarterback,” Flores said when asked about Watson. “We’re happy with the quarterback, our quarterback situation. I’ll leave it at that, which I’ve said multiple times.”
Tua has missed 3 games this season with fractured ribs, but led the Dolphins to their only victory this season in week 1.
