The Indianapolis Colts are going to be looking to upgrade the roster at all positions this offseason.
After a disappointing season in 2019, there are reports that they could be looking to make a move at quarterback.
While Jacoby Brissett had some good moments in the 2019 season, the Colts might not view him as the guy to take them to the super bowl.
There has been a lot of speculation about the future of the Colt’s quarterback situation ever since Andrew Luck abruptly announced his retirement.
According to a recent report from The Athletic’s Stephen Holder, the Colts are expected to have interest in acquiring Derek Carr from the Las Vegas Raiders.
“I’ve been told to keep an eye on Derek Carr and that situation as it relates to the Colts. I’ve been told the Colts are willing to have a conversation about that.”
Derek Carr to the #Colts? @HolderStephen says watch out for that possibly happening.

If Carr is indeed available for trade, it will be interesting to see what the Colt’s would offer for him.
The Raiders have publicly sent out mixed signals on his future.
He could be an interesting option for the Colts as an experienced veteran in the position.
A few years ago, Carr was viewed as one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.
With a few inconsistent seasons and some injuries, he has fell out of those conversations.
In the 2019 NFL season, he threw for 4,054 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.

With the Colts having plenty of cap space to work with and a talented roster, this could be an offseason that Ballard chooses to take some chances.
With everything being said, you can expect to continue to hear the Colts mentioned in many offseason rumors regarding quarterbacks.
