The Indianapolis Colts had all the talent to make it into last season’s playoffs.
But for some reason, they faltered despite having two opportunities to clinch a postseason berth.
That said, changes are bound to happen on head coach Frank Reich‘s staff.
One of those additions will be a return of a consummate veteran who became one of the league’s best wide receivers during his time.
News: The Colts are strongly considering hiring franchise great Reggie Wayne as the team’s new wide receivers coach, sources said. Nothing finalized, but would be a big addition to Frank Reich’s staff.

The Athletic’s Zak Keefer said, “News: The Colts are strongly considering hiring franchise great Reggie Wayne as the team’s new wide receivers coach, sources said. Nothing finalized, but would be a big addition to Frank Reich’s staff.”
When this update happens, Indianapolis will welcome one of its beloved players with open arms.
Wayne played all of his 14 NFL seasons with the Colts and there was that stretch from 2004 to 2012 that he was an elite pass-catcher.
During those years, he finished with at least 1,000 receiving yards for eight seasons, including his career-high 1,510 yards in 2007.
His exploits earned him the Super Bowl XLI championship, six Pro Bowl selections, two Second-Team All-Pro distinctions, and a first-team All-Pro inclusion in 2010.
He also led the league in receiving yards back in 2007.
Wayne finished his career with 197 receptions (10th all-time), 14,345 receiving yards (10th all-time), and 82 touchdowns (24th all-time).
Imparting His Wisdom To A New Generation
Aside from reliving his memories as one of the Colts’ devastating wide receivers, Wayne gets to share the knowledge with current wide receivers T.Y Hilton, Zach Pascal, and Michael Pittman Jr.
They should learn a ton of knowledge to improve their craft and bring the team to the playoffs.
It would be nice if he could guest Marvin Harrison or Peyton Manning for a pep talk to his wards.
