It’s safe to say that the 2022-23 offseason has been a bit of a bust for the Boston Red Sox.
Though they have made a few impactful signings in Masataka Yoshida and Kenley Jansen, fans are not pleased with Chaim Bloom.
Xander Bogaerts ultimately walked in free agency, and J.D. Martinez might also be on his way out.
To make matters worse, starters Michael Wacha, Nathan Eovaldi, and Rich Hill are all free agents as well.
But fear not, Red Sox fans.
There may be a solution to the problem.
On Twitter, a fan trolled the team with a hilarious meme and a fake announcement that the Red Sox had signed the famous Peter Griffin from the hit show “Family Guy” to a 10-year contract.

Peter Griffin To The Rescue!
Peter Griffin always seems to find himself at the center of controversy.
Of course, we can’t list each controversy here, because this is a family show, but it ultimately does sum up how Red Sox fans are feeling about the team right now, even after two solid additions.
They have holes at the designated hitter and shortstop positions after the departure of Bogaerts.
Needless to say, Red Sox fans are hoping and praying for any move to help offset the pain caused by the loss of Bogaerts.
While Peter is a fictional character and can’t give the Red Sox anything, he still can give fans a reason to laugh.
The name is synonymous with ridiculousness and humor, and Sox fans could use a little humor right now.
