Carlos Rodon is one of the top three starting pitchers out on the free agent market along with Justin Verlander and Jacob deGrom.
So far, his market appears to be pretty quiet.
Other than reports from Jon Morosi suggesting the Texas Rangers were in on Rodon and deGrom, there hasn’t been much speculation over the veteran left-hander.
However, one Boston Red Sox fan seems to think there could be a little something to this.
On Twitter, the fan took note of how Rodon’s market appears to be a little quiet at the moment and also noted that the Red Sox tend to keep secret about a lot of things, wondering if there may be a coincidence or if it means the Red Sox could be in on the left-hander.
Carlos Rodón’s market has been pretty quiet so far. The Red Sox usually keep negotiations pretty close to the vest. Coincidence?

Red Sox Fan Sees Rodon Connection
With so much uncertainty surrounding the Red Sox starting rotation, Rodon would be a great addition to the team.
Chris Sale should be back in 2023, but injuries have derailed him over the past three seasons.
Nathan Eovaldi, Rich Hill, and Michael Wacha are all free agents, and James Paxton was also derailed due to injuries.
Beyond that, the Red Sox rotation has a lot of question marks.
But a deal for Rodon would be huge for them as they try and address their pitching needs.
Rodon would give Boston a bona-fide ace.
The 29-year-old went 14-8 in 31 starts and posted a 2.88 ERA over 178 innings with the San Francisco Giants this year.
The stove is heating up and soon, players will be signing deals more frequently.
Perhaps Boston could make a splash by signing Rodon.
