The Boston Red Sox picked up an important win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night.
Right-hander Kenley Jansen entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, looking to close out his former team.
The 35-year-old veteran did just that and picked up an important milestone in the process.
Jansen earned his 400th career save as the Red Sox held off the Braves.
This prompted a hug between him and his teammate, Justin Turner.
After the game, the veteran closer talked to MLB Network insider Jon Morosi and discussed what that moment meant to him.
Will never forget seeing the embrace between @kenleyjansen74 and @redturn2 on the field after Kenley’s 400th @MLB save. I asked Kenley about the moment in this @MLBNetwork interview. @RedSox @Dodgers pic.twitter.com/180zt7T1cA

Turner and Jansen were teammates for a long time with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jansen broke into the Major Leagues in 2010 and was joined by Turner in 2014, who the Dodgers grabbed from the Baltimore Orioles.
The Dodgers won seven division titles while Turner and Jansen were teammates and earned a Wild Card berth in 2021.
Jansen departed from the Dodgers the following offseason and spent the 2022 season with the Braves while Turner finished out his Dodgers tenure.
Both signed with the Red Sox after the 2022 season.
And so, after the game, the two longtime teammates and friends, reunited after a year apart, shared a nice moment, embracing after Jansen recorded his historic save.
Jansen talked about his journey with Turner and everything the two went through during their time together in Los Angeles, recalling their accomplishments as teammates and expressing his gratitude to have the opportunity to play alongside the veteran slugger again, this time with the Red Sox.
Turner and Jansen have reunited and now have another special moment to remember.
