After finishing in last place a season ago, the Boston Red Sox have seemingly outperformed expectations.
They own a record of 53-47 and are just 2.5 games back of the third and final Wild Card spot in the American League.
As such, this should make them an interesting team to watch at the trade deadline as they decide which direction they’re going to ultimately go.
On Twitter, Red Sox analyst Tyler Milliken pointed out some interesting potential trade rumors as the deadline approaches and the baseball world waits to see what the Red Sox, and other teams for that matter, will ultimately do.
Some Red Sox trade deadline news/rumor round-up:
According to @Sean_McAdam, the Braves have expressed some interest in an Adam Duvall reunion.

Milliken noted that the Atlanta Braves had checked in with the Red Sox about a potential reunion with outfielder Adam Duvall.
Duvall was a part of the Braves’ 2021 World Series championship team, having been picked up from the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline.
Milliken also noted that the Red Sox are looking to buy at this year’s trade deadline as well.
Several potential rental starting pitchers were listed as fits.
The two most notable options listed were St. Louis Cardinals left-hander Jordan Montgomery and Detroit Tigers lefty Eduardo Rodriguez, the latter of whom is a former Red Sox.
Rodriguez was with the team when they won their most recent World Series title in 2018.
Reynaldo Lopez and Tony Kemp were two other players that were listed.
The Red Sox are certainly going to be an interesting team to watch this year at the trade deadline, especially now with just one week remaining.
