The New York Jets are having their best season since 2015, where they won 10 games.
However, the magic of this season is giving fans hope their team can reach the playoffs.
But with the AFC being full of good teams, anything can derail their playoff hopes.
With five games remaining this season for them, there are two reasons they will probably miss the playoffs.
1. Jets Face Too Many Tough Teams
In their final five games, the Jets face three playoff contenders and a Detroit Lions team that’s finding its swagger.
With their next game being against the Buffalo Bills, they have a fight ahead of them.
Just a reminder for #Jets fans that the #NFL screwed us with the schedule giving us back to back games on the road against presumed playoff teams…both with 10 days rest
This game against the #Bills is gonna be another tough test#TakeFlight #NYJvsBUF

While the Jets could pull off some magic, they need to win out to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.
However, doing that is impossible for them, as they face the Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Miami Dolphins all on the road.
While they face tough teams, the Los Angeles Chargers, who are a game behind the Jets, have an easier schedule.
The combination puts the Jets at a disadvantage as the current seventh seed in the AFC playoff picture.
2. Jets Offense Still Isn’t Good In Pressure Situations
While the Jets offense is better with Mike White as their quarterback, they still aren’t a proven offense.
During pressure situations, the Jets offense still falls short.
Their 27-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings saw their offense blowing two drives inside the 20.
Had they converted either of those drives, maybe the Jets playoff chances would be better.
However, the failure by their offense with pressure on them will keep them out of the playoffs.
