The starting pitching market may be starting to progress.
It appears that the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox are currently in serious talks for veteran starter Lance Lynn.
Lynn owns a 6-9 record and an abysmal ERA of 6.18.
However, he still is proving to be a viable strikeout pitcher, as he has punched out 139 batters on the season.
The White Sox have had a disastrous season to date and have been expected to sell for quite some time.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale of USA Today provided the news of the White Sox and Rays discussing Lynn in a potential trade.

If this deal is completed, the Rays will be getting a veteran arm with a lot of great experience.
Lynn posted a 2.69 ERA back in 2021 and was the ace of the White Sox.
The 36-year-old is also a reliable arm with postseason experience.
Lynn broke into the big leagues in 2011 as a reliever with the St. Louis Cardinals.
He helped guide St. Louis to their 11th World Series title and later became a starter with the team.
Since his time in St. Louis, Lynn has been with the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and White Sox.
Tampa Bay already has Shane McClanahan and Tyler Glasnow in its rotation.
But with pitchers such as Drew Rasmussen and Jeffrey Springs on the shelf, the team needs another rotation arm.
If the trade is ultimately completed, Lynn would be a solid addition for the Rays as they look to try and catch the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East.
