Despite a number of key injuries, and in last place in the NFC West, the Los Angeles Rams are actually in striking distance of finishing first in the division and making the playoffs for the second year in a row.
Last year, when they were expected to have a horrible season, they instead won 10 games and nearly upset the Detroit Lions in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
Wide receiver Puka Nacua, who was a rookie last season, was a big reason for that unexpected success.
This season, injuries have limited Nacua, and after sitting out since Week 2 he was able to return in a Week 8 win against the Minnesota Vikings.
Unfortunately, Nacua reportedly left a recent practice due to a knee injury.

A further update said Nacua is expected to be fine.

Nacua, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, took the league by storm last season with 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns, and he finished second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year balloting to Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.
In two games this season, he has 11 receptions and 141 yards.
The Rams also have had to deal with an ankle injury to wide receiver Cooper Kupp, as well as injuries to multiple offensive linemen.
Looking ahead, their next three games are against the Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, teams they should be able to defeat if they’re healthy enough.
