After several weeks of rumors, Dalvin Cook has officially joined the New York Jets.
He was released by the Minnesota Vikings at the beginning of the offseason, and his landing spot was long-awaited.
Now that his addition to the team is official, many of his new teammates have wished him public congratulations.
Quinnen Williams was among the new teammates to offer praise, saying, “RB room is sick,” noting Cook, Breece Hall, and Michael Carter as their lead backs.

When the rumors of Cook joining the team surfaced, many reporters believed he would be brought in as a Breece Hall fill-in.
Hall is still recovering from an ACL injury, and his return timeline remains to be seen.
Given the contract Cook received, it appears that he’s in line for serious touches.
The current landscape of running backs in the NFL is quite different than it has been in years past.
Gone away are four-year extensions.
Many running backs of Cook’s caliber are signing one-year, $8 million deals just to stay in the league.
The Jets will look to utilize Cook right away in their new-look offense that is led by Aaron Rodgers.
With any luck, he’ll not only be a stopgap for Hall until he returns but a true force to be reckoned with.
Last year, Cook rushed for 1,173 yards, adding eight rushing touchdowns to his season total.
If he’s able to get anywhere close to that number this season, an $8 million contract might seem like a steal for the Jets.
Can he help them achieve their goal of ending a 12-year playoff drought?
