The Atlanta Hawks have worked quickly after firing former coach Nate McMillan.
The team’s front office knew that a lot was hanging in the balance and they didn’t want to wait to sign a new leader.
Therefore, it’s not shocking to see that they are introducing their latest head coach today.

Former Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder and the Hawks have reached an agreement on a five-year deal, including the rest of this season.
Snyder will become the new coach of the team on Monday and it is expected that he will be on the sidelines as soon as Tuesday night when the Hawks take on the Washington Wizards.
It is now pretty obvious that the Hawks have had their eyes set on Snyder for some time.
Although they said that they were weighing a few options to replace McMillan, Snyder was immediately the front runner and this deal came together at a rapid pace.
That’s not surprising considering Snyder was once an assistant coach for the team and also found a lot of success when running the Jazz.
Now, it is time to see what he can do with this talented but troubled Hawks team.
There have been rumors of the Hawks promising a lot of power to Snyder, allowing him to hire his own staff and even have other front-office responsibilities.
The extent of how much control he will have is still unclear.
Regardless, Snyder has his work cut out for him.
The Hawks are the eighth team in the East and are hoping to climb even higher before the playoffs arrive.
