The Odell Beckham Jr. rumors officially came to an end Thursday afternoon when he decided to sign with the Los Angeles Rams.
The day began with rumors he was going to potentially wait until next week to sign somewhere.
Now, he heads to a Rams team that just added Von Miller on defense before the trade deadline.
Additions are coming on both sides of the ball, but the OBJ add raises a few questions for the Rams.
2. How Will He Fit?
The Rams just parted ways with DeSean Jackson because he wasn’t getting enough targets.
So will Beckham be any different?
Cooper Kupp is the star of the receiving corps and is already over 1,000 yards on the season.
After him is Robert Woods at 556 yards and then Van Jefferson at 433 yards.
Matthew Stafford is spreading the ball around, but going away from Kupp is just not going to happen.
And why mess up a formula that is already working so well with Woods and Jefferson?
On paper, Beckham is a top talent added to an already dominant offense.
But that was supposed to be the case in Cleveland, only for Beckham to seemingly want out after not getting enough targets.
1. Can They Avoid The Distractions?
The way Beckham left Cleveland does not seem to be a concern for the Rams.
But he is now in a contract year and wants to prove he deserves another massive deal next year.
Is he going to make comments if he goes a game or two with only a few catches?
The Rams are chasing a Super Bowl and the offense has been elite.
Sean McVay must be thinking he can devise proper plans to keep Beckham happy and involved.
But this question is one to keep an eye on given the receiver’s past with the New York Giants and the Browns.
