The NBA season is now over and the draft is soon approaching.
We just saw the best teams in the league battle it out for the championship.
Now it is time to focus on the bottom half of the NBA.
The draft is for the these teams.
This is where their hope begins for a better future.
There are several teams this past season that need to regroup and try to avoid another awful season.
Unfortunately, some teams are not going to be able to avoid a repeat team performance.
There are three teams that will be the worst next season.
Here they are.
3. Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic need to find hope.
They have not been a contender since Dwight Howard was with the franchise.
For years, they have been a mediocre team.
However, they are now in position for the proper rebuild.
Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac are both recovering from a torn ACL.
The roster is very young and will get younger.
They have two lottery picks in the draft this year, but they are the fifth and eighth pick.
Lucky for them that they have the man that drafted a mysterious player from Greece named Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Hammond is now GM of the Magic. Orlando fans hoping he can conjure up some of that Giannis magic with picks 5 and 8 in the 2021 NBA Draft.

The roster is not going to be great for next season with the young talent and players recovering from serious injuries.
Look for the Magic in a few years; just not next season.
2. Cleveland Cavaliers
One of the worst teams in the last three seasons has been the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They have missed the playoffs for the last three seasons and there is a chance that streak will continue for a long time.
ESPN currently has them ranked as the fourth-worst team for next season.

They should be worse than that.
The Cavaliers are entering the draft with the third pick.
However, Collin Sexton looks like he might be on his way out of Cleveland.
Kevin Love is still on the roster, as no team is looking to acquire him for that price.
The roster for next season might not be getting significantly better.
Be prepared for the Cavaliers to be at the bottom of the standings next seasons.
1. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder will most likely be the worst team in the NBA next season, but that is the goal.
The Thunder are on a quest to own every draft pick for the foreseeable future it seems.
Over the next 7 drafts, the Oklahoma City Thunder have 36 total draft picks:

That means next season is not going to truly matter for the Thunder.
You will see little nagging injuries keep players out for weeks and months.
Their mission is to be bad and accumulate all of the best possible prospects they can get.
Next season will be bad by looking at their record.
However, the future is bright for the Thunder.
They will be a great team one day most likely.
The only problem is that day is a few years from now.
Expect to see the Thunder as one of, if not, the worst teams in all of the NBA next year.
