MLB is getting exactly what they hoped for in a Phillies/Astros World Series.
With the series tied 2-2, all eyes will be on the crucial Game 5 set for Thursday night.
Each of the first four games has been highly contested, and there is no reason to expect something different tonight.
Certain players have made no positive impact in the series thus far.
Those guys need to step up and perform before it is too late.
Here are three players having a disappointing World Series.
1. Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies gave Aaron Nola the ball in Game 1 hoping to get the series started the right way.
Even though they won that game, Nola was ineffective.
The same can be said for Game 4 when Nola gave up three runs in four innings.
Aaron Nola in 8 starts from Sept. 1st through the NLDS: 1.72 ERA (9 ER in 47 IP).
Aaron Nola in 3 NLCS/WS starts: 9.69 ERA (14 ER in 13 IP).

In his two starts, the 29-year-old has an ERA of 8.64.
We might see him again if this series goes to seven games, but even then it is anyone’s guess what Nola has left in the tank.
2. Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros
The best hitter on the Astros all season has been Yordan Alvarez.
The left-handed slugger is hitting a .133 in the World Series and has yet to hit a home run.
Yordan Alvarez is slashing .125/.282/.188 with two doubles, five walks and 12 strikeouts in 39 plate appearances since Game 2 of the ALDS.

Alvarez has not been seeing the ball well the last two rounds and his lack of production has hurt Houston.
With the World Series coming down to the final three games, the Astros hope they can get the best version of Alvarez.
3. Jean Segura, Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies’ second baseman, Jean Segura, has been waiting to play in the World Series his whole career.
But, through the first four games, he has struggled.
With a batting average of .071 and recording only one hit in the four games, Segura needs to figure it out.
Through the first three rounds, the clutch hitting of Segura was a big reason for the Phillies’ success.
But now, with their backs against the wall needing a home win, Segura must come through in the biggest game of his life.
