This past season, plenty of people soured on the idea of Mac Jones being the quarterback of the future for the New England Patriots.
He had an underwhelming season, and as a result, the franchise’s immediate future looks somewhat murky.
But Jones was recently seen with Tom Brady, the former Patriots quarterback who is considered by most to be the greatest player in NFL history, and apparently, Jones learned some things from the legend himself.
Dov Kleiman highlighted the meeting on Twitter.

Just about everyone will look lackluster compared to Brady, but the goal is for Jones to simply be a quality QB and not a candidate to take the GOAT label away from Brady.
Jones, who spent three seasons at the University of Alabama, was the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by New England, and as a rookie, he tantalized the team’s fans.
That year, he threw for 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing 67.6 percent of his passes, which earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl.
He led his team to a 10-7 record and a playoff berth that year, which led some to think he had star potential written all over him.
But Jones sagged to 2,997 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns in 2022 while his passer rating fell from 92.5 to 84.8.
In fact, when he missed three games due to an ankle injury and Bailey Zappe did well in his absence, there was a murmur that perhaps Zappe could replace him as the starter.
Year 3 is huge for NFL quarterbacks, and everyone from Fairfield County to Bangor, Maine will be watching to see if Jones puts it all together.
