Ever since they fired manager Joe Girardi, the Phils have been on an absolute tear, which has continued, even in Harper’s absence.
The Phillies are 62-49 and are in the second National League Wild Card spot.
One of Philadelphia’s finest, former shortstop and MVP Jimmy Rollins, is very happy about the way the Phillies have played and didn’t hesitate to say as much on Twitter, but he also noted that there have been a lot of empty seats at Citizens Bank Park lately, and he called on more fans to show up to games.
This @Phillies team has IT!! It has taken [email protected] but they are here to WIN!! Still seeing too many empty seats at the Bank though 👀. Where are the sellouts that get the bank rocking and make Philadelphia the best sports town in the world?!!! #everybodyhits

J-Roll Sends A Message
Rollins had a great run of success during his time with the Phillies.
He was part of two World Series teams and was a key piece in their run of five straight NL East titles.
One would hope that Phillies fans would listen to him.
It’s surprising that there are still plenty of empty seats at Citizens Bank Park, especially given that the Phillies are legitimate contenders this season.
They have not reached the postseason since all the way back in 2011.
That NLDS loss to the St. Louis Cardinals ended their run.
But now, they’re back in full force and have beaten some good teams.
Here, Rollins is calling on the fans to show their support more with the Phillies back in contention.
The Phillies haven’t been this good in a long time.
Fans once packed the ballpark.
We’ll see if they listen to Rollins and ultimately start to pack Citizens Bank Park.
