Now that their two-year experiment with Aaron Rodgers is over, the New York Jets have some work to do to become competitive.
They haven’t made the playoffs since the 2010 season, and though they do have some legitimate talent on both sides of the ball, they have a few roster holes.
They could use another playmaker on offense, especially at tight end, and there happens to be a prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft who has star potential.
A mock draft by Pro Football Focus has the Jets selecting Tyler Warren with the No. 7 overall pick, and he could create a dynamic offense alongside quarterback Justin Fields, running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

Warren caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns, adding 218 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns last season for Penn State, and won the John Mackey Award as the best collegiate tight end.
He has outstanding size at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds and plays with a tremendous amount of swagger.
The Jets’ offense will be led by Fields, who hasn’t amounted to much in four NFL seasons after he was a first-round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fields started for the Pittsburgh Steelers early last season in place of injured Russell Wilson, and perhaps adding Warren to the Jets’ mix would give him his best chance yet to become an adequate QB1.
