The New York Giants have made some major changes over the last calendar year, as running back Saquon Barkley left and won a Super Bowl championship with the Philadelphia Eagles, and they finally pulled the plug on quarterback Daniel Jones and released him during the season.
They were tied for the worst record in the NFL this season at 3-14, and their fans are beyond frustrated and begging for major changes and improvements.
New York will have the No. 3 pick in the upcoming draft, which means that depending on what the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns do with the top two picks, they could have the opportunity to take one of the nation’s top quarterbacks, and they will also have plenty of salary cap space.
Giants writer Doug Rush outlined what he called a dream scenario for them in which they not only sign free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs but also take University of Colorado Boulder QB Shedeur Sanders at No. 3.
In @PFF dream scenarios and the one perfect free agent and one perfect draft pick for each franchise.
For the Giants:
Texans WR Stefon Diggs was listed as the perfect free agent signing.
Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders was listed as the perfect draft pick.

Diggs is the type of player who could create a bit of excitement in the Big Apple, as he has four Pro Bowl selections to his name, although there should be a bit of concern due to the ACL injury he suffered this season.
He is 31 years of age, and thus committing a lot of money to him in free agency could be a risk, given the nature of his injury and how it can rob athletes of their quickness.
On the other hand, he went over the 1,000-yard mark six straight times until this season, when he had 496 receiving yards in eight games prior to his injury.
Sanders would give the Giants another chance to develop a potential franchise QB — there are questions about him, but he did produce 4,134 passing yards and 37 passing touchdowns on a 74.0 percent pass completion rate in 2024.
Giants fans have no choice but to be patient when it comes to the rebuilding of their favorite team, no matter how many big moves are made this offseason, as the team has many big needs.
