Team USA features nothing but the creme of the crop of NBA talent.
That’s why it’s not easy to stand out from the rest of the pack.
Nonetheless, Anthony Edwards stands out wherever he goes, and that includes Team USA.
In the latest edition of Undisputed, Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce claimed that Edwards stands out to him as the clear leader of the team.
He explained how much the game changed as soon as he took the floor, and while he doesn’t know whether he should start over the other legends that he’s playing with, his energy was contagious and rubbed off on everybody else.
"I think the clear leader of this team is [Anthony Edwards]… His personality took over the USA team… He's gonna be an international star before these Olympics is over."

He believes that Edwards’s personality makes him a natural leader for this team, and while he was clearly joking about being the best player on the team and that everybody else had to fit around him, Pierce thinks he may have meant that.
Edwards is the kind of player who will never lack confidence, and more often than not, he’s going to back it up on the court.
Team USA features plenty of experience and should find no trouble overcoming challenging situations, as all of the players on the roster have been through a lot.
Still, it’s become more than evident that this young shooting guard is looking to take over the league.
He’s not going to just sit around and wait for his number to be called; he’s going to challenge everybody around him to be at their best.
