The Miami Heat are going through a bit of a crisis right now.
Unfortunately, this isn’t anything new.
Jimmy Butler has been suspended seven games for several instances of conduct detrimental to the team, and he’s formally requested to be traded.
This, however, has all the makings of a Pat Riley masterpiece.
That’s why Paul Pierce believes he’s running him out of town.
Talking on FOX Sports, the Boston Celtics legend recalled how Riley did the same with Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and even Dwyane Wade in the past (via Complex Sports).
Paul Pierce on Pat Riley ?
"You ran Shaq out of town, you ran LeBron out of town, you ran D.Wade out of town… Now you're running Jimmy Butler out of town."

Pierce stated that Riley built Heat Culture.
However, he hasn’t changed his ways, and he’s also going to be responsible for the demise of it.
That’s right on point.
Riley’s constant power struggles with his superstars have often left him empty-handed.
More than that, it seems like he’s lost his pull in the league.
He’s no longer been able to land top-notch free agents or acquire stars via trade.
Riley is obviously one of the most prominent figures in NBA history, and his achievements cannot be overlooked.
Then again, it might be time for him to step aside and allow someone else to run the show.
The Heat’s hardnosed identity and hard work culture are two defining things behind their success.
But you need stars to win, and it seems like sooner rather than later, Riley will find a way to rub them the wrong way and burn all the bridges between them.
