Los Angeles Clippers star Russell Westbrook experienced a heated moment with a fan during Monday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
The details of what was said between Westbrook and the fan weren’t clear, but one of his teammates believes that a line was crossed.
According to a video shared by Joey Linn, Paul George shared his frustrations with how some fans have behaved recently during games.
“Nowhere else can people go to someone’s job and disrespect you at your job and it be okay,” George said.
Saying that it’s a “thin line,” George added that “when people come to work, they should be respected at their job.”
He reiterated that there “should be a line of respect.”

NBA stars have been very vocal about this subject lately.
Westbrook isn’t the only star who has had a war of words with courtside fans over the last few seasons and the league has noticed.
There have been multiple ejections and even lifetime bans for people who have acted out of line and said harsh things about players and their families.
Unruly fans aren’t anything new and the NBA isn’t the only sports league that experiences them.
But basketball stars have been pushing back a lot more recently and there have been numerous incidents of players coming face-to-face with people who have said derogatory things during games.
George is absolutely right to demand more of NBA fans.
As he said, people don’t have to root for all players but they need to treat them with respect, regardless of their opinion.
Westbrook, George, and others will not let these sorts of incidents slide anymore.
