The Golden State Warriors have been a juggernaut in the Western Conference for the past decade or so, with the storied franchise winning four NBA titles while seeing Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green become future Hall of Famers and a trio that has changed the way the game is played.
With the Warriors having four rings to their credit, Thompson channeled the late great Kobe Bryant by responding to trash talk from Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns last season by putting up four fingers to brag about the rings he won in the Bay Area.
However, the Suns crushed the Warriors in that game, making Thompson look a little ridiculous for bragging in defeat, which he recently said that he regrets on “Podcast P” with Paul George.
This prompted a response from Booker that was a little confusing as he basically said he’s going to compete no matter what, and the Los Angeles Clippers star forward was asked on a video game stream about Booker’s comments, saying the following via NBA Retweet.
Paul George responds to Devin Booker’s comments:
“Sorry a** response. But I don’t know what that was supposed to mean.”

Clearly, George wasn’t a fan of what Booker said, even though it was a bit confusing and didn’t really seem to get his point across.
Of course, the most interesting part of this is that it will likely create some beef between these teams, as the Clippers and Suns could be a budding rivalry, with Booker likely disliking George’s response to his comments.
As for the Suns, there are a few different dynamics with Chris Paul now in San Francisco and the Warriors almost certainly wanting to humble Booker and company after all the attention they have gotten over the course of this summer.
