It feels like the clock is ticking on the Los Angeles Clippers to win a championship as their superstar duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is only getting older.
Leonard and George have yet to deliver on their promise of bringing a title to a Clippers franchise that has had to live under the shadow of the Los Angeles Lakers for decades.
The pair make up one of the best wing tandems in the league, but their durability and health have robbed L.A. of truly competing in the Western Conference.
Entering the 2023-24 NBA season, the Clippers are once again in the playoff mix though their climb to the top is much more difficult as their peers have all gotten better.
Leonard’s injury history is incredibly concerning at this point as he has yet to put together a full regular season back home, though when healthy is one of the league’s best players.
While Leonard is known for his stoic demeanor on the court, George revealed that the star wing actually has much more depth to his personality via Taylor Rooks.
“People don’t realize like he is as normal as possible and he’s a funny dude and he’s charismatic and he has a personality. I don’t know why people think he’s a robot,” George said.

It’s hard to really imagine Leonard being that vocal off the floor, but there have been snippets floated of him enjoying himself.
Like a lot of players, Leonard’s got a different personality on the court but fans should remember that players have lives outside of basketball.
Perhaps the Clippers will see Leonard smile and laugh more if they finally get over the hump and win that elusive championship.
