Over the past couple of years, one of the most disappointing stories in the NBA has been the state of Lonzo Ball’s career in the league as he’s dealt with persistent injury problems.
Although Ball seemed to flourish once he landed with the Chicago Bulls, giving the team hope that they could finally put it together again, he didn’t play a single game during the 2022-23 NBA season and may have to start thinking about life after basketball.
Despite having a potentially bleak future ahead in the NBA, Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers paid Ball the ultimate compliment.
On George’s Podcast P Show, the veteran forward, who is currently battling another injury of his own during the NBA playoffs, said he believes Ball is the most talented floor general in the league via Chicago Sports Updates and NBA Central.
Paul George says Lonzo Ball is the most talented PG in the NBA
“What can’t Lonzo do? He can guard, can shoot, can play make, his IQ, he can rebound great for his position.”

That’s a pretty bold statement to make for a player that can’t stay healthy and hasn’t played more than 63 games in a season since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him out of UCLA with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Ball has played for three teams in his NBA career thus far, with stints with the Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans and Bulls.
At this point, Ball’s future in the league is very much up in the air, as he’s only played 35 games for the Bulls since the team acquired him in a sign-and-trade deal with the Pelicans.
Only time will tell if Ball can extend his career or if we’ve seen the last of him in an NBA uniform.
