Regardless of how he fares in the next step of his career, Bill Belichick will always be considered one of the greatest – if not the greatest – head coaches in NFL history.
That’s why it’s only right that the New England Patriots honor him as such.
That’s finally going to be the case, according to a report by WBZ Sports.
“When Bill’s coaching career ends, we look forward to sitting down with him and having a statue made to be right next to Tommy,” Kraft said, via WBZ Sports.

The Patriots will look to build the legendary head coach a much-deserved statue.
This comes just two years after team owner Robert Kraft chose to part ways with him.
Multiple reports indicated that Kraft and Belichick’s relationship was strained for a couple of years leading up to his dismissal, primarily due to Tom Brady’s departure from Foxboro.
Even so, Belichick accomplished so much during his days with the organization, and no one can take that away from him.
The Patriots made nine trips to the Super Bowl during Belichick’s tenure, winning six of them.
He was the architect behind the most dominant dynasty in recent NFL history, putting together a team that was more likely to make the Super Bowl every year than to miss the playoffs.
Of course, having the greatest quarterback by his side clearly did plenty to help his case, yet Belichick’s sharp defensive mind also paved the way for Brady’s success.
His best days are behind him, and he will have a tough time finding success with a program like UNC, but Belichick still deserves all the credit in the world and this type of honor.
