Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season is finally here and the New England Patriots are gearing up to kick off the new year against the reigning NFC champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Patriots still have a sturdy defense that can limit opponent scoring opportunities, but the question lies with the offense as the offensive line has already dealt with its fair share of injuries.
Mac Jones is in for a tough Sunday as he goes up against a formidable Philadelphia defensive line and that could put even more pressure on the New England defense to hold their own.
However, players like Matthew Judon might find it difficult to get to Jalen Hurts as the Eagles boast one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.
Philadelphia has quality starters at every position which has allowed them to run the ball effectively as well as give Hurts enough time in the pocket to push the ball downfield to receivers like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Ahead of the Week 1 matchup, Judon admitted that he and the rest of the defensive line have got their work cut out for them via NBC Sports Boston.
“It’s hard to find weakness in their offensive line,” Judon said.

Judon was one of the best pass rushers in the league last season, so his comments should signal how much respect he has for the Eagles’ offensive line.
The veteran and his teammates are really going to have to step up if they hope to keep pace with Philadelphia.
