Drake Maye is getting better as a passer, and there’s still hope that he can be their franchise quarterback, but he didn’t have much success in this contest.
He and his teammates scored just 13 points, which extended a worrisome streak.

The Patriots had a few high-scoring offensive games shortly after Tom Brady left, but for whatever reason, they haven’t gotten that firepower back, even for just one performance.
Maye gives the Patriots upside with his rushing abilities and strong arm, but he is only beginning his second NFL season.
Some players can take longer to develop than others, but the hope is that sooner rather than later, Maye will transform into the leader and player that his coaching staff and fans believe he can be.
