Major League Baseball is back!
It’s officially that time of the year again, and people all over the sports industry will have a say about it.
That includes Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, who already took to Twitter to wish the Kansas City Royals a great season.
Besides being a local icon, Mahomes is also a part-owner of the MLB franchise, so this isn’t much of a surprise.

Unfortunately, the Royals aren’t likely to be as successful as their NFL neighbors.
They’re going through a bit of a rebuild right now, and while the future might be quite exciting for this team, they might still need a couple of years of building and developing their players before being ready to compete at a high level.
Needless to say, that’s not the case with the Chiefs.
They recently became just the ninth team in NFL history to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
Now, they have a strong chance to become the only team to win three consecutive Vince Lombardi trophies, although it won’t be easy, obviously.
Losing star CB L’Jarius Sneed was a big blow to their defense.
Still, the Chiefs’ front office and coaching staff have proven over and over that they can find multiple ways to win.
Mahomes is widely considered to be the best quarterback in the game right now, and that’s not going to change any time soon, so they’ll always have a chance.
As for the Royals, perhaps they could give him a call to see if he can play shortstop for them every now and then.
