The Kansas City Chiefs are three playoff wins away from claiming an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship, and they will start their postseason by hosting the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already the proud owner of three Super Bowl rings, which has led many to feel he has a chance to become the greatest player in NFL history.
Since becoming a starter in 2018, he has never failed to reach the AFC Championship game, and he is now on the verge of equalling an all-time great.

Once upon a time, Montana was universally considered the greatest quarterback ever thanks to his four Vince Lombardi Trophies and many clutch moments in the playoffs, primarily for the San Francisco 49ers but also for the Chiefs.
Tom Brady took over the honor in the minds of many about a decade ago, and while he’s still considered the greatest ever by many, Mahomes is encroaching on that territory.
The Chiefs were 15-2 this regular season, but 10 of those wins came by seven points or fewer, not to mention some very fortunate strokes of good luck, and it has made some wonder if they could be defeated during the playoffs.
The Texans are short-handed, as wide receivers Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs are out, and the Chiefs are strong favorites in this game, but stranger things have happened throughout NFL history, and anything can happen during the playoffs.
