The Kansas City Chiefs landed the best quarterback in the game.
It’s crazy to think that so many teams — including the Chicago Bears — decided to pass on Patrick Mahomes in the NFL Draft.
And while he did look kind of raw coming out of college and failed to make a big leap in the collegiate scene with Kliff Kingsbury at the helm, the talent was simply impressive.
Mahomes has dominated the NFL from the very first day he set foot on the gridiron.
Notably, PFF put it in perspective by reporting that he’s the player with the most games passing for at least 400 yards since 2018.

Mahomes has a legitimate chance to go down as the greatest quarterback in NFL history.
Of course, he’ll always have that stain on his résumé for not being able to beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
But with two rings in the past four years, he has more than enough talent, experience, and with so many years still ahead of him, he’s the only player who could actually take down Brady’s record of seven rings — not to mention the rest of the passing-related records.
Mahomes isn’t having the best season of his career in terms of taking care of the football, throwing six interceptions already.
But the Chiefs are 6-1 and once again look like the team to beat in the AFC, and they’ll always have a chance to win when he’s healthy and on the field, regardless of who’s their rival or how big of a deficit they’re facing.
