The Kansas City Chiefs head into the 2023 season as the prohibitive favorites to defend their Super Bowl championship.
As long as Patrick Mahomes is under center, the Chiefs will always be one of the NFL’s contenders and this upcoming year is no different as he’s got the weapons on offense to light up the scoreboard in a hurry.
Travis Kelce remains the league’s best tight end, though the other receivers on the roster aren’t anything to scoff at either.
Although JuJu Smith-Schuster departed in free agency, Kansas City has exciting young players like Kadarius Toney and Rashee Rice to fill in the gaps.
However, Mahomes couldn’t help but rave about Justyn Ross and is already expressing confidence in his playmaking ability.
“We’re gonna keep throwing him out there and giving him chances,” Mahomes said via Jordan Foote of ArrowHead Report.
Patrick Mahomes says Justyn Ross is a "different receiver" than anyone else the Chiefs have.

There were questions about Ross making the final 53-man roster in the offseason, but the young wideout has been the talk of training camp and preseason.
With his size and speed, Ross has been able to make several highlight-reel plays throughout the summer and looks like a dangerous weapon to have out on the field.
Injuries derailed the start of Ross’s NFL career, but with him at full health he looks like the sort of player that Mahomes will love to throw to.
While Toney is considered to be the team’s No. 1 receiver on the depth chart, Ross has a legitimate shot to contribute right away and it’ll be exciting for Chiefs fans to see him try and put it all together when the games matter.
