The Kansas City Chiefs had a long battle with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday night for their sixth win of the season.
However, during the game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes passed for 446 yards in their overtime win.
He also went 43/68 during the game, meaning he was a passing machine.
With that game, Mahomes is now on pace for an NFL record.
So what’s the record the Chiefs’ star QB might hit this season?
Mahomes Is On Pace To Break Single-Season Record For Passing Yards
The 446 passing yards on Sunday night now puts the star QB at 2,605 yards for the 2022 season.
With nine games remaining for him, he’s on pace for 5,536 yards, which if he hits, will break an NFL record.

What’s shocking to some is how he’s doing this without the help of Tyreek Hill.
While he still has Travis Kelce, some see Hill as a “must-have” receiver for any passing offense.
However, the young QB is still posting incredible passing numbers with his surrounding receivers.
While Kelce is his best receiver and top target, he’s also getting solid production from JuJu Smith-Schuster.
With him still having weapons, he’s balling out with the passing game in 2022.
His remaining slate of games this season also suggests that he might become the new single-season passing yards leader.
With everything on his side, this record is his for the taking.
While he wants to make history, his biggest goal is another Super Bowl ring.
He can reach this goal, and the passing yards record, as long as he remains healthy and keeps picking apart defenses.
