Ever since taking over for veteran quarterback Alex Smith as the starter of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has done some incredible things on the football field as he’s paved his way to superstardom in the NFL.
Coming into the 2023 NFL season, Mahomes and the Chiefs will be coming off their second Super Bowl title in the Andy Reid era and will look to add a few more in the years to come.
Along with being arguably the best quarterback in the league today and possibly the only player to threaten Tom Brady in the greatest of all-time debate, Mahomes has an uncanny knack for leading the Chiefs to victory even when they’re down 10 or more points in a game.
No player in the league comes close to Mahomes when it comes to coming from behind to lead their team to victories, as his win percentage in those scenarios is astounding, which was pointed out by Sarah Ellison of The Vault Podcast.
This can’t be right. I was told Lamar Jackson can’t win from behind

Obviously, as a Baltimore Ravens podcaster, Ellison was pointing to Lamar Jackson’s ability to rally his team to victory when down 10 or more points in a game, but it’s pretty remarkable what Mahomes has been able to do in comparison.
Mahomes and company will try to keep it going in 2023, while the team will be the team to beat to start next season in a very competitive AFC, which only got better throughout the NFL offseason.
As long as Mahomes can stay healthy, the Chiefs will have a shot to repeat and will always be a threat in the AFC.
