The Kansas City Chiefs were almost perfect in their Week 1 home game vs. the Chicago Bears.
Their offense was a steamroller, and Matt Eberlus’ team never found an answer or even knew what was coming at him.
Patrick Mahomes became the quickest player to throw for 25,000 yards, exploding for 272 yards on 24-for-33 with three touchdowns and a 127.3 passer rating.
Mahomes limped at one point and sounded off the alarms at Arrowhead Stadium, but he recently confirmed to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network that it’s nothing serious and he’ll be good to go with no limitations next week.
#Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes, who was limping at one point after getting rolled up Sunday against Chicago, is “all good,” per source. Nothing serious. Kansas City visits the #Jets this week.

The Chiefs will hit the road to square off vs. the lowly New York Jets for a now-disappointing Sunday Night Football matchup.
The fans hoped to watch Aaron Rodgers take the field for a showdown with the reigning champions, but they’ll now have to watch Zach Wilson instead.
Even so, the New York defense could give the Chiefs’ offensive line a handful, as they already have a blueprint from what the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars did to contain their explosiveness.
Mahomes has had some ankle injuries before, and the Jets have more than enough stars to try and go at him, so they’ll need to be at their best to try and keep him safe and sound.
Still, there’s a chance that he won’t finish Sunday night’s game either, as the Chiefs are favored by 9.5 points as of now, and that number could only get wider as we inch closer to kickoff.
