The NBA has reportedly launched an investigation on referee Eric Lewis, who’s been exposed as a Boston Celtics fan multiple times on social media this season.
Lewis reportedly has a burner account when he defends his actions from rival fans, even taking shots at other fan bases and stating that all the narratives about him being a Celtics fan are a lie.
Internet detectives came across the said account and made it viral in the blink of an eye, prompting multiple reactions from NBA players, including LeBron James, who couldn’t believe the news.
That’s why Patrick Beverley also took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter, reminding everyone how they laughed at him for grabbing a camera to show the referee a clear and obvious foul in the Los Angeles Lakers’ now-infamous loss to the Boston Celtics.
Laughed at me when I grabbed the camera 📷 yea aight 🤦🏾♂️

LeBron James got fouled at least twice in a potential game-winning drive to the lane, yet Lewis stood by his no-call, infuriating James and the Lakers fanbase as a whole.
This was just the first of a string of missed calls and eyebrow-raising clips fans came across featuring Lewis and the Celtics last season alone.
Notably, Beverley doesn’t have the utmost credibility in NBA circles, being tangled up in countless antics, flops, and incidents throughout his career, so people won’t usually give him the benefit of the doubt.
But the league is doing right to dig deep into this matter, although it’s hard to think that things had to go this far for them to take a look at what was going on after all the accusations.
