It seems that most fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are not too keen on the acquisition of Patrick Beverley.
Many people who support the purple and gold are upset to see Beverley come to LA, especially since the trade package sent both Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Utah Jazz.
However, LA fans are starting to come to terms with this trade and trying to find a way to root on a guy who has repeatedly trashed the Lakers and some of the team’s biggest stars, including LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.
Patrick Beverley is a 37.8% career 3-point shooter.
That makes him the best shooter on the Lakers. The next highest career 3-point percentage on the team belongs to Kendrick Nunn at 36.4%

Here’s one thing that should get Lakers fans excited: Beverley’s three-point percentage.
Beverley is at a 37.8% career three-point percentage.
As Sam Quinn notes, this makes him the best shooter on the Lakers.
In fact, the next highest career three-point percentage on the team is Kendrick Nunn‘s, at 36.4%.
So, perhaps this trade will be a good thing in the long run.
From Downtown
There are many, many (many) things that need to be fixed with this current Lakers team.
In fact, three-point shooting isn’t even in the top three problems plaguing the team.
But a better percentage from downtown certainly won’t hurt LA.
Beverley is gifted from beyond the arch, but there is more to him than just that.
He can do work on defense too and is also a skilled passer.
And you can say what you want about his personality but the man is able to fire up his own squad and fans with ease.
This trade has its downsides and it hurts to lose the two stars that got sent away.
But fans may be surprised by how much they actually like Beverley in LA.
