Are we about to see the return of Patrick Beverley to the NBA?
Beverley signed a new contract with Israel’s Hapoel Tel Aviv in the summer, electing to take his skills overseas and play international basketball.
However, according to NBACentral and several outlets, the team officially announced that they have parted ways with Beverley.
That means he is now a free agent and able to come back to the US and play in the league.
In a very crowded NBA, is there still a place for Beverley’s brand of fiery personality and assertive defense?

Beverley averaged 10.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists during his time with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
He holds an NBA career average of 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 41.3 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from the three-point line.
Beverley is 36 years old, so he would be at the tail end of his basketball career.
Plus, he comes with some risks that need to be considered by any potential team.
He could be secured for a rather inexpensive contract, but Beverley was severely up-and-down during his final few years in the league.
He bounced around from team to team, hoping to make an impact, but his output was inconsistent at best.
But Beverley has a strong voice and is able to get in the heads of opponents.
His offense can be hit-or-miss, but his defense remained strong during his 12 years in the league.
Several free agents are wishing to come back to the NBA, and not all of them get their wishes.
Will Beverley be able to find a team that wants him, or will he spend time away from playing professional basketball?
