The Philadelphia 76ers‘ 2022-2023 season finished dramatically, losing to the Boston Celtics 4-3 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Over the past several seasons, the 76ers haven’t been able to materialize their elite rosters into an NBA Finals appearance.
They have continued to add pieces to their team, hoping to break through, taking their squad to the next level.
Patrick Beverley has recently joined the 76ers, an 11-year NBA veteran who’s ready to win his first NBA Finals ring.
According to NBC Sports Philly via NBA Central, Beverely said, “I can shoot that thing, so I’m excited” he said about his new team.
“I can shoot that thing, so I’m excited. I’m excited to display that here.”

He also added, “I’m excited to display that here.”
Beverley has bounced around the league of late and has been on three different rosters in the last three seasons.
Last season, he averaged 5.8 points per game, 3.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds.
While these stats might not necessarily jump off the page, Beverley doesn’t seek a starring role in his new destination.
During the 2022-2023 campaign with the Chicago Bulls, he averaged 27.5 minutes per game.
If he can provide similar numbers for the 76ers, his veteran leadership alone will be an added value to this organization.
While Beverley has a lot of NBA experience, he is 35 years old.
Is this addition what the 76ers truly needed to take the next step in trying to break through in the East?
With talk of James Harden wanting to leave the team, there’s no telling what the next steps are for the 76ers.
Regardless, it appears that Beverley is willing to give it his all.
