Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic was having a lot of fun on Tuesday.
Team USA made light work of the Italian national team in the FIBA Basketball World Cup, winning by a final of 100-63 with impressive production from multiple stars.
There were a lot of enjoyable moments during the game, including one when Banchero dunked over Italy after receiving a slick pass from Tyrese Haliburton.
On Twitter, Banchero applauded Halihburton’s assist, saying, “Ty hasn’t thrown a pass i ain’t like.”

During the World Cup, Banchero has averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
He has been remarkably consistent: scoring eight points in four different games, six in another, and a strong 21 in the opening game against New Zealand.
Because of that consistency, some fans have been pleading with head coach Steve Kerr to start Banchero in every game.
As for Haliburton, he’s been good for 9.3 points and 5 assists per game so far.
Haliburton has been doing incredibly well with assists lately.
During the 2022-23 season, he averaged 10.4 assists per game and was called one of the best passers in the league.
Fans of the Indiana Pacers are used to seeing plays like this from Haliburton.
What’s next for Banchero, Haliburton, and the rest of Team USA?
They are now going to participate in the World Cup semifinals, which means the competition will be harder and it’ll require them to keep producing plays like this one.
Banchero will need to keep dunking and Haliburton will need to keep passing.
When they are playing like this and having fun, fans are also having a wonderful time.
