The Carolina Panthers are not hiding their intentions in finding a new quarterback.
Unfortunately, more football fans and experts would dispute his claim, especially how his 2021 season ended.
With the sixth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Panthers have a good chance of taking the first quarterback off the draft board.
However, it’s uncertain who they will pick up to this point.
While they are talented prospects, none of the quarterback prospects elevated themselves from the rest of their pack.
Therefore, Carolina must open other avenues to acquire a play-caller.
There are rumors that the Panthers are interested in trading for Baker Mayfield.
Likewise, they can also consider giving Colin Kaepernick a shot.
If they do give the 34-year-old quarterback an opportunity, Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson approves that idea.

The Riot Report shared multiple screenshots highlighting Anderson’s reaction to both quarterbacks.
The Panthers wideout liked CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson’s idea of giving Kaepernick a workout.
Meanwhile, he clearly expressed that he doesn’t want Mayfield in Carolina.
Kaepernick’s training videos have become viral, especially his session with Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett.
Can Anderson Get His Way?
It’s uncertain if the Panthers will give Kaepernick an opportunity.
But they can look at what he still has, given that he’s already led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl.
Yet his in-game condition could become a factor because he hasn’t played since 2016.
There’s a chance that the Panthers won’t get any of these veteran options.
If that happens, it becomes more evident that the team will draft a quarterback with their early pick.
