The Carolina Panthers finished the 2023 season with a 2-15 record, the worst in the NFL.
They had a tough time gaining momentum in Bryce Young’s first year as their starter, which was the main reason for their sub-optimal record.
While last year wasn’t great for the Panthers, some players are on the roster that give them hope for the 2024 season.
Troy Hill is a defender that the team was impressed with from last season, and they just re-signed him to a one-year deal, according to Tom Pelissero.

Hill is a long-time NFL veteran, and while he is over 30, he can offer much wisdom to the other defensive players on this roster.
If the defense gets better next year, it will only help Young in his development with the offense.
By having a solid defense, the Panthers will give Young more time on the field to improve his abilities and grow as an NFL athlete.
He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft for a reason, and while he didn’t look the part in his first season, there is a lot of room for him to grow.
The Panthers haven’t been a dominant team since the early days of Cam Newton.
Can they find their way back to that place under Young?
